Although our initial notional deadline of November 11, 2025, has passed, we want to reassure schools that it is not too late to submit their list of eligible and recommended junior male students for the 2026 American Legion Mountaineer Boys State (ALMBS) program.

If your school isn’t represented yet, we encourage you to take action now and ensure your students don’t miss out on this life-changing opportunity. We have also provided a map outlining the applications we have seen started for the 2026 ALMBS. We plan on updating these maps periodically throughout the recruitment process.

• Submit your school’s list of eligible students who demonstrate leadership, character, and a desire to serve.
• Encourage those students to apply and explore the lifelong benefits of ALMBS participation.
• Use the recruitment toolkit (flyer, handout, and info packet) mailed to your school and available online at wvboysstate.org/admissions.
